Lewis Hamilton Beats a Major Michael Schumacher Record in Mercedes Before Ferrari’s 1000th GP

Lewis Hamilton and the term record-breaker are gradually becoming mutually exclusive by the day. The British racer is on a quest for a 7th World Championship title.

The path isn’t easy, however, Hamilton is making a habit out of winning as well as breaking records. A few days after he broke Schumacher’s record for most podiums, the Tuscan Grand Prix saw him breaking another record.

Hamilton holds 95 pole positions. He is way ahead of Michael Schumacher, who sits with 68 pole positions. However, with the pole in Tuscany, Lewis Hamilton has captured 69 pole positions driving for Mercedes.

Even if he is pitched with his pole finishes separately for Mercedes and McLaren, he’ll not only top the list with Mercedes but also reappear in the 10th position with McLaren. Look like an absolutely staggering statistic that is too good to be true.

Michael Schumacher holds the record for the most World Championships, having clinched 2 of those with Benetton and the rest with Ferrari the German powerhouse brought his tally of World Championship titles to 7.

Lewis Hamilton has been unrelenting in his crusade to shatter this stupefying record. Having won 5 titles with Mercedes and one with McLaren, the Briton is well on his way to clinching the record.

Hamilton has made winning a habit for himself. He signs off from a season winning the Championship and goes back to his winning ways right where he left off. The sheer consistency makes him a beast out in the tracks.

Hamilton came in pretty strong for the 2020 season. However, he missed the podium in the opening race in Austria. However, he subsequently clinched back-to-back podiums.

He was leading in Italy when a stop/go penalty forced him down the grid in between the race. Grabbing 6 podium finishes including 5 winning spots, Lewis Hamilton bagged 164 points to place himself on the top of the listing.

Hamilton is at the peak of his career. He’s smashing records day in and day out with. Enroute to his 7th Championship, Hamilton will be eager to bag a few more records to his name before he breaks the tally for the most Championship titles.
