Perez is part of the reason why Lawrence Stroll managed to take over a financially struggling Force India in 2018. Considering his healthy relationship with the team, his decision did baffle quite a lot of people in the paddock.

But more than that, it upset the Mechanics and his crew who worked with him during his tenure with the team. In particular, Perez’s No.1 Mechanic expressed his sadness in the Instagram post.

And as for Racing Point, the driver to line-up alongside Lance Stroll remains to be a question. But current Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel is looking like the lead contender for that spot.

The Vettel-Aston Martin speculations which were slowly fading away are now back. It may only be a matter of time before the team officially announces who they will be signing for their 2021 season. Fingers crossed!
