Turkish Grand Prix blessed the Formula 1 community with an exciting and extraordinary qualifying session. The weather was out of control and the cars were skidding out of the tracks.
As the session resumed, Max Verstappen was leading throughout. However, Racing Point decided to go on the intermediate tire and surprised everyone.
Lance Stroll clinched his first-ever pole position in his last qualifying lap. He is only the third Canadian ever to qualify at pole position, and the Twitter community can not contain the excitement of an unfamiliar grid for tomorrow’s race.

Speechless, that’s right. Lance Stroll beat Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, and Max Verstappen to stand at pole position. Much like the Racing Point team, we were all left speechless at the Canadian’s mega lap.

Everyone is excited about the race today. We also hope that Lance Stroll takes the advantage and converts it into a race win. These could very well be the first glimpses of a future world champion.
You won’t hear any excuses or clever quotes from us today.
We were absolutely nowhere near pole.
Today belongs to @RacingPointF1 and @lance_stroll 👏👏👏
We’ll be down with a bottle of champagne later. You guys deserve it!

Stroll was followed by Max Verstappen as Perez qualified at P3 giving Racing Point their best-ever start. Racing Point have their best start of the season in tomorrow’s race. However, splitting the Racing Point is the Dutch who will certainly go for the win. The weather forecast is similar, so don’t forget to tune in with an extra tub of popcorn tomorrow.
