To that the Honey Badger replied by revealing a moment when one of his favorite athletes, Georges St. Pierre came to race, he said, ” GSP came out to a race a couple of years ago. So we actually invited him, and I honestly didn’t think he would show. And he did. And he was awesome, the funniest thing was he goes, you’re crazy, like get out of here. Like talking about how he literally was trying to convince me that I was crazier than him. I’m like, no, no.”
Adding further he said why he feels MMA is crazier, “So it’s like, don’t get me wrong, our sport is yeah, you need some minerals and then for sure some courage and whatever, but no, like, I try to really put myself in the position. Like when I watch sports, I’ll try to even learn from other sports, whether it’s the mental approach or whatever. And like I envisioned, walking out into the Octagon and no way like that feeling and that intensity like that, I don’t think that could be managed.”
As in other sports, each person has their favorite athlete. Danny Ric lists a couple more boxers, in addition to GSP, whose fighting style appeals to the Honey Badger.

GSP is undoubtedly Daniel Ricciardo’s favorite fighter. He is one of the very few competitors to have won titles in both weight classes. Out of 28 matches in his stellar career, the Canadian has only suffered two losses. When Ricciardo was asked about his other favorite fighters, he named Carlos Condit and Cub Swanson as examples.
“I mean, what one name comes to my mind immediately is like GSP. I also love Carlos Condit. And I know they fought against each other, but I was like a big fan of theirs. So they were like two of the first guys that I really got behind. And also Cup Swanson, Cub Swanson was one of the first guys as well that I really, yeah, loved watching them fight,” added Ricciardo.
