Lewis Hamilton spent his time away from social media for too long and the fans have since been longing to know what the Briton had been up to all these days. The fanfare began when Hamilton showed up unannounced with a morale-boosting caption, “I’m back!”
Fans went berserk, and of course, why wouldn’t they? Since the seven-time world champion bid a brief adieu to social media, a load of theories sprouted, including the ones that suggested 2021 could be Hamilton’s final F1 season. Toto Wolff added fuel to this perturbing speculation and so did the new FIA president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem.

A few days late but worth saying I’m really pleased to see Sir @LewisHamilton back on s/media. It coincides with the 4th of Feb when @FIA were supposed to be announcing findings of the “investigation”. I can only hope he found them satisfactory. #IStandWithLewisHamilton
