Unearthed Tweet Points to Former Lewis Hamilton Teammate Nico Rosberg’s F1 Return in 2023 Amidst Las Vegas GP

Las Vegas is all set to host a Formula 1 race in 2023. Fans are excited to see Formula 1 cars roar around the streets of Vegas. The race in Nevada will be the third Grand Prix to be held in the United States, as Formula 1 added Vegas to the list, already existing of Miami and Austin. The latter venues are a part of the 2022 calendar, while the race in the Neon Capital of the World is scheduled for 2023.
Many drivers in the past and present have cited their wish to race in the streets of Vegas. One of those is former Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg. Five years back, the German set out to answer his fans’ questions on Twitter. There, a fan asked, “What old track do you want to return to F1 Race calendar?” And the former World Champion immediately pointed to Las Vegas.

He also revealed he has to come out of retirement if Formula 1 went racing in the city. His tweet read, “las vegas!!!!!! i will have to make a comeback if they put that race on the calendar.”

So, do not be surprised if you see Rosberg return to an F1 car in 2023 just for the Las Vegas race. Fans have also encroached Rosberg’s comment section on the post as it is currently trending on social media.
Las Vegas Governor anticipating a huge turnout for the Grand Prix
As things stand, the Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place during the Thanksgiving weekend in November. However, this is not the first time the city has seen a Formula 1 race. 1981 and 1982 witnessed also witnessed races known as the Caesars Palace Grand Prix.

As Formula 1 returns to the city of Nevada, the governor of Las Vegas, Steve Sisolak, gave his thoughts on the race and revealed it will boost the economy. “I am laser focused on our economy as governor,” he said. “We know the economic impact that Formula 1 will have on this community will be enormous. We are anticipating 170,000 visitors to town to watch this race.”
Further, the race will be on a Saturday which came as a surprise to many. It is the first time a race will take place on a Saturday since the South African Grand Prix in 1985.
