In a highly competitive sport like Formula 1, where the pressure is high at all times, only the strong-willed succeed and prosper. This is where drivers like Max Verstappen deserve our ultimate respect. The Dutchman is a mentality monster and nothing and nobody can shake his determination to win. He is proving this over and over again. How? He has won three championships back to back. During his run, he has also become the driver with the most wins in a season, the most consecutive wins and the fastest to 50 race wins in the sport’s history. The Red Bull man isn’t oblivious to his achievements. On the back of that, he destroyed the American fans with a boastful claim after the 2023 US GP.

There was a set of fans that did not fancy the Dutchman, and they made themselves heard. Boos could be heard echoing on COTA during Verstappen’s on-track interview. Verstappen isn’t a stranger to such disrespectful receptions, and he showcased his nonchalance toward it with a brutally honest claim that surely silenced the booing fans.

When asked if the boos bother him, Verstappen boastfully said, “No, in the end, I’m the one that goes home with the trophy. Fine by me!”

We will need to take a trip down memory lane for this incident. During the 2022 Hungarian GP, the Verstappen’s Orange Army traveled in numbers. The big herd of Verstappen fans made themselves heard to showcase their obvious resentment toward Lewis Hamilton following up after the intense 2021 season.

However, the passionate fans took it a step too far and started burning Mercedes merchandise on top of the innocuous booing. This expression by fire was condemned by Verstappen.
