Max Verstappen once again did the inevitable at the United States Grand Prix Sprint race by winning the race after securing the pole. At one point it looked like Lewis Hamilton would steal the show, but that wasn’t the case. It wasn’t even one of the drivers who stole the show. It was Sha’Carri Richardson, the American track & field star. The LH army was sent into a frenzy as the 7X champ was reunited with Richardson. Let’s see what went down. 

After a crazy qualifying for the main race on Friday, fans expected a spicy Sprint race with Top 3 qualifying within a tenth. While Hamilton did promise to make it interesting for the first couple of laps, it was Verstappen who came out on top. Nonetheless, for social media, it wasn’t the on-track action that stole the show but the post-race action. Lewis Hamilton was reunited with Sha’Carri Richardson after being spotted with the 7X champ at the 2021 Met Gala.

The American Athlete made her debut at the Met Gala with Lewis Hamilton and was seen wearing a Red outfit. Guess what? Sha’Carri Richardson was at the 2023 US GP sprint as she presented the awards for the podium finishers. What’s even more intriguing is that she was wearing a red outfit this time around as well. Richardson shook hands with Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc as she gave the awards with a huge smile. 

However, when Lewis Hamilton’s chance came, the track star couldn’t hold back and hugged the man she made an appearance with 2 years ago. The F1 community, especially the LH army was sent into a frenzy after the 2021 Met Gala duo was pictured together once again. Let’s see what the fans had to say about the encounter.

The LH army took to Twitter as soon as Sha’Carri was spotted giving Hamilton the award and a warm hug. It looked as if the duo acknowledged each other with warmth and love. Fans were quick to recognize the same and went crazy on the platform. Many advised the two GOATs to be seen together as the fans showered their love. Let’s see what were some other reactions.

There was a different kind of warmth between the duo as Hamilton got a rather impressive P2 finish in the sprint race.

Indeed F1 played a masterstroke to have one of the fastest sprinters in the world to present the sprint race trophies. F1 is really hyping the COTA race nicely this year.

Rarely, do such sporting crossovers happen & American F1 races are the best place for Hamilton to cross paths with these US icons like Richardson & Shaquille O’Neal in 2021.
