Lewis Hamilton will come back stronger; those are the comments of his “best teammate ever” Valtteri Bottas. Bottas claims this isn’t how we will see Lewis all season after he suffered a poor weekend at Imola. No matter how their relationship is off the track, there is definitely mutual respect.

Lewis Hamilton will bounce back, Valtteri is confident!

Lewis Hamilton went through a nightmarish weekend at Imola. With the conclusion of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, the brit hit a new low in the current season. However, his former teammate, Valtteri Bottas, is confident in his resurgence. Bottas believes Lewis will come back stronger as the season progresses.

The former Mercedes man reflected on Lewis’ race. “I would imagine he was stuck behind other cars. If there is a DRS train it’s not easy. George had a great start. That was the key to his race, but we will see a strong Lewis still in the coming races,” said Bottas.

Lewis’ current teammate George Russell is still in better shape. Russell finished ahead of Lewis in all races but one. Indeed, this might concern some, but we’re all aware of Lewis’s quality.

Bottas happy with the new team

Alfa Romeo offered Bottas a multi-year deal; A new experience for the Finn as this was his first. When asked about the struggles of Mercedes, Bottas said, “I don’t know the reasons why they [Mercedes] are struggling, I don’t know their technical details, but I focus on our things and focus on improving our car, which we did at the weekend and hopefully we can do it in the next race as well.”

Surprised by the struggles of Mercedes, Bottas is focusing on his team and getting the most points for the team. But it is nice to see him back his former teammate. Given he’s seen Lewis race up close, he is more aware of what he can do, and as we’re still in the early stages of the season, a comeback might in fact be on the cards.
