It’s been a week since the race, and developments on the first lap crash between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen just keep on coming. Red Bull are actively placing the blame on Hamilton and are firmly holding their ground. Verstappen is expected to follow suit, and Milton Keynes’ advisor, Dr Helmut Marko, believes the Dutchman will not tone down his driving style.

Max Verstappen will not be less aggressive, he has done nothing wrong: Marko

As reported by F1Insider, the Austrian believes that Verstappen was not in the wrong and will, thus, not be toning down his aggressive driving style.

“Verstappen will not be less aggressive, because he has done nothing wrong,” said Helmut Marko.

“We have the data to show that Hamilton was the only culprit, but you can also easily see that with the naked eye. Hamilton was clearly behind Max and was miles away from the apex. He missed it,” said the Red Bull advisor.

The Dutchman will not change his approach, mentioned Ralf Schumacher

Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher is also on Marko’s side and believes that Max Verstappen will not change his approach after the crash.

“Max is not a scaredy-cat. He will not let his foot off the gas. The only thing I can imagine is that he might look in the rear-view mirror a little more often,” said Schumacher.

Fans don’t believe that the Dutchman will tone down his aggression either. In fact, they think that a full-on attack mode Mad Max is on the cards for Hungary. Do you agree?
