VIDEO: Kimi Raikkonen’s Wife Provides Update on His Health After Postive COVID Test Ahead of Italian GP

Kimi Raikkonen tested positive for Covid-19 at the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. However, instead of isolating in the Netherlands, the Iceman was allowed to fly back home.

The race continued without the Alfa Romeo driver, as Robert Kubica filled his place. Many wonder how is Raikkonen doing? Well, his wife put that question to bed as Raikkonen was found relaxing in a manner that only he can pull off.

As the lights went out at Zandvoort this past weekend for the Dutch Grand Prix, the 41-year-old was recovering at home following his positive Covid-19 test.

Many showed their concern for the 07′ world champion as this would be his last season in F1, and they wouldn’t see him behind the wheel again. His partner, wrote a message while showing Kimi relaxing on the couch as he waved to the camera. She wrote, “Kimi doing perfectly fine. Thanks for your kind messages!

How did Alfa Romeo perform in Kimi’s absence?

The Swiss-based team were missing their key driver in the form of Raikkonen but had Robert Kubica to replace him. They also had hopes on Antonio Giovinazzi to score some points this weekend.

However, things didn’t pan out quite the way they wanted it to. As Giovinazzi crossed the line in fourteenth place, while his teammate for the Grand Prix, Kubica came home to take fifteenth place.

With just three points under their belt so far Alfa Romeo hope to redeem themselves at Monza. With Raikkonen’s health still having a question mark hanging on it they hope to see Kubica and Giovinazzi bring their A-game to the Italian GP this weekend.
