A cold day at Imola saw Haas breaking the barriers. A brilliant yet rain-soaked Q3 saw Kevin Magnussen pick up P4 at the end of the day. Quite insane for the American team as they look forward to basking in the points once again. Fans react to this achievement in fashion.

There were a total of five red flags, to sum up the session. Even though Magnussen himself got into the gravel, he did enough to get himself back on the track. The first practice session had a bit of rain going on, but the Q1 saw the conditions drying up, until it started raining again in the last few minutes of the second qualifying session.

The rain-soaked Friday saw the drivers take a bit of caution in the practice before they headed out for the qualification. The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix gave the sport its first wet weather conditions.

A Viking comeback for Kevin Magnussen?

This was Haas’s best-ever Q3 performance in their history. Talking about this, Kevin conveyed, “Well done guys, that’s a great result. Would’ve loved another one (position), but that’s great.”

Unlike Saturday’s traditional qualifications, the drivers completed their qualifying sessions on Friday as the circuit is to host the Sprint race tomorrow. The 21-lap flat-out race will determine who starts from pole position on Sunday’s race. Can Kevin hold his position to start from P4 tomorrow? Or will he perish under the extreme pressure? Only time will tell.
