Alex Albon returned to Formula One after sitting out in the 2021 season as the test and reserve driver for Red Bull. The Red Bull junior driver is now racing for Williams for the 2022 season replacing George Russell. He impressed everyone with his drive at the Bahrain Grand Prix as he finished P13 ahead of faster cars.

But he hilariously got himself stuck in the cockpit of his car after the race. We can see him struggling to get out of his car at the end of the race.

Alex is one of the tallest drivers on the grid right now, so it might not be easy for him to get in and out of the cockpit effortlessly.

Alex Albon looking forward to racing in Jeddah for the first time

The Thai driver will race at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix for the first time as he was on the sidelines as a Red Bull reserve driver last season. It would be interesting to see how he adapts to the fastest street circuit in the world in his new car.

As reported by Chequered Flag, Albon has said, “The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is a new track for me and not an easy one to get up to speed with, so whilst I’m looking forward to that challenge, I know it’s going to be a tough one.”

“I think it’ll be a track that is a bit better suited to the characteristics of the FW44; it’s smoother with more medium and high-speed corners, so I’m hoping we go well there. The more running we do, the more we’ll understand this car and how we can work to maximize its performance, so I’m mostly just looking forward to getting back out on track,” added Alex.

It would be interesting to see how can Albon get the most out of his car in Jeddah. If the Williams is as fast as Alex claims in Saudi Arabia, then his first point finish of the season might be on the cards.

It is nice to see him back racing in the sport after missing the 2021 season. It looks like he 26-year-old, has matured, and looks more relaxed while driving for his new team. He has a point to prove in this season as he may look to reclaim his lost Red Bull seat.
