Another player has overshadowed Messi’s transfer to Paris-Saint German. It’s Formula 1’s favorite Frenchman, Pierre Gasly. Gasly visited Parc de Princes in France, where he’s currently enjoying his summer break. Upon visiting the stadium, the President of the French football club honored Gasly with his own jersey.

The football fan received a customized jersey with his name and driver number brandished at the back. Pierre visibly looked like a kid in a candy shop, with a big, excited smile across his face.

No F1 transfer for Pierre Gasly

Although Gasly had one of the best starts in his career, he hopes for more. Gasly has had his eye on the second Red Bull seat, but Helmut Marko shot down those rumors. Pierre has gained a lot of momentum this season and it’s a reason Franz Tost would love to see the driver continue with the sister team.

Tost believes Pierre is the team’s forte, saying, ” Pierre is a fantastic driver–very fast, very experienced, he fits really good to the team.”

Gasly currently sits eighth on the scoreboard along with McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo. Pierre has managed to put up a brilliant fight in the midfield. A prime example of this is his qualifying session in Hungary. The AlphaTauri stood fifth on the grid, ahead of McLaren and Ferrari.

Almost two years ago Red Bull dropped the driver who was then replaced by Alex Albon, and since then it’s been a career of redemption for Gasly. A very different driver than the one who stepped into the Red Bull cockpit a couple of years ago, Gasly does have the potential to be the second seat.

While that doesn’t seem to be an option for another two years, Gasly would be looking to add another win to the list along with last year’s Moza victory. In a season where anything is possible, Gasly has 12 races ahead of him to take the victor’s champagne.
