The Losail International Circuit is a new track on the Formula One calendar, and drivers didn’t know what to expect. But it seems that Alonso enjoyed himself as he zipped around the track, as he took fifth place in the timesheet.

Can Alpine grab double points this weekend in Qatar?

The Enstone-based team had a good qualifying session on Saturday. French driver, Esteban Ocon managed to get himself into round three and find himself to be ninth on the timesheet.

Meanwhile, his Spanish teammate, Alonso brought his A-game to the Losail Circuit, he was the fifth-fastest driver of the session. Both, Alonso and Ocon will be looking forward to Sunday’s race, as it offers them a good chance to grab some much-needed points for the constructor’s championship.
