WATCH: Formula 1 Undergoes Revolutionary Rebrand to Project an Eco-Friendly Image to F1 Fans

Formula 1 has finally unveiled its rebranded official logo, which symbolizes and reflects the new direction of sustainability the pinnacle of motorsports is heading towards.

In a tweet posted by the sport’s official media page, the new logo was revealed.

The text in the tweet also teased the graphical representation of the new technology to be shown during the race weekend in Brazil. F1 aims to present the most efficient engine in the world in 2026 with its new Power Units.

The new engine era of Formula 1 in 2026

There will be many elements that will be key toward the big goals Formula 1 has for its future. One of which is the engine fuel that powers the internal combustion engine.

F1 aims to create and use a laboratory-manufactured fuel from 2026, which could then be used in road cars as well.

“..will be laboratory-created, using components that come from either a carbon capture scheme, municipal waste or non-food biomass while achieving greenhouse gas emissions savings relative to fossil-derived petrol of at least 65 percent,” said the F1 website, as reported by Car and Bike.

There is also a big possibility of other OEMs entering the sport in 2026, namely Volkswagen and two of its subsidiary companies, Audi and Porsche.

In collaboration with Volkswagen, Formula 1 aims to take its already pioneering hybrid technology and create a better, more sustainable power unit to replace the current MGU-H.

The ongoing discussions with Volkswagen along with the development of new Power Units and Engine fuels were already a big sign towards F1, achieving the target of 100% sustainability.

Now, with the newly rebranded logo, Formula 1 has ‘green flagged (pun intended) the certainty of its very ambitious but equally important and rewarding goals for the future.
