WATCH: Hilarious Video Showcases a Few F1 Drivers with the Friends Theme Song

If there is one thing that most people like, it is watching television. One of the most popular TV sitcoms, is the show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Recently, one F1 fan combined the iconic F.R.I.E.N.D.S theme song, ‘I’ll Be There For You’ with a few highlights from the 2019 Formula One season.

The stars of the show were, Daniel Ricciardo, Sebastian Vettel, Carlos Sainz Jr, Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris. Other actors in the star-studded line-up were, Kimi Raikkonen, Alexander Albon and Pierre Gasly. Dutch fan Simone Looijenga has been credited for the concept.

With no race, what are the F1 drivers up to this weekend?

The coronavirus pandemic threw a gigantic wrench in the well-oiled F1 machine. So, the drivers have nothing else better to do than train some more or sit and twiddle their thumbs. However, some F1 drivers are banding together to create an online racing championship.

The ‘Not The Aus GP‘ race, boasts of a star-studded line-up, with F1 drivers Max Verstappen, Lando Norris. Also joining them are IndyCar drivers Simon Pagenaud and Felix Rosenqvist, Formula E drivers Jean-Eric Vergne, Antonio Felix Da Costa and Stoffel Vandoorne and more.

The race will also witness a father-son duel between former F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya and Sebastian Montoya. ‘Not The Aus GP’ also managed to attract non-racing interest, with Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois joining the pack.

There are also racing drivers like Super Formula driver Sacha Fenestraz joining in. Of course, there are many F1 gamers tuning in on the action. Especially since the whole idea is about pitting real life racing drivers against top gamers. One thing is for sure, everyone will be getting their fix of racing action, even though not a single wheel will touch the Albert Park Circuit.

For the fans who would love to tune into the Erace, the stream will be available on Twitch and on the Veloce Esports Youtube channel. The race will commence at 5:45pm GMT on both streaming mediums and there will be plenty of fun to be had. Even Courtois admitted that he is excited to race with top racers and gamers.
