At this point in the championship, everyone has their favorites. While the Orange Army stands strong behind their driver, the LH44 refuses to back down either. While everyone has their verdict on who will win the championship, it’s necessary to keep one man in mind: the internet’s favorite Max Verstappen fan.

Midway into the season, a fan got the Dutchman’s symbol tattooed on his calf, along with “F1 2021 champion” written underneath it. While the dedication is admirable, with Hamilton having won three consecutive races, surely the man is breaking a sweat.

Regardless of what the tattoo guy over there ends up doing on Monday morning, we will have a champion in our hands. After 21 rounds of intense battle, it’s a level playing ground again; Verstappen and Hamilton are up for the race of their lives.

F1 has seen many championships being decided right down to the wire. More infamously, the 2012 championship. Sebastian Vettel won the title by three points, leaving Fernando Alonso deprived of a championship with Ferrari. Although Alonso and his teammate Felipe Massa stood second and third on the rostrum, the celebrations were quiet at Ferrari.

Will this be reflective of what we can expect at Abu Dhabi? A Verstappen title and win with Mercedes on either side; or a Hamilton victory with the Red Bull duo accompanying him. This is as close as it gets for both the titles and the numbers haven’t been this interesting.

In the constructor’s battle, Mercedes is 28 points ahead of Red Bull. This means if Verstappen wins the race, he’ll take the crown. However, if Hamilton and Bottas step on the podium as well, Red Bull loses their constructor’s title.

Red Bull is also under more pressure because they will only get the constructor’s trophy if they have a 1-2 finish at the Yas Marina Circuit. This really will be the championship battle of a lifetime, as everything is up for grabs at round 22 of the season. However, more importantly, all eyes are on the tattoo guy.
