WATCH: Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi Taunt F1 Fans Ahead of US GP

After a year’s hiatus, the United States Grand Prix is back this weekend, and it is understandable that fans are excited. So much so that they even blocked the way for Alfa Romeo drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi.

However, instead of getting upset with the excited fans, Raikkonen and Giovinazzi happily took photos with them. Additionally, the banter between the two drivers was adored by the F1 community.

As Kimi and Antonio were heading to the Circuit of the Americas, they had to wait behind fans who were mesmerized by the venue set for the race. While Kimi was behind the wheel, it was Giovinazzi who had to honk to get the fans to make way. It was then the fans realized that they were the Alfa Romeo drivers.

The excited fans hurried to their car, where Kimi said, “This Italian bloke here is pushing the horn. He is in such a hurry.”  The spectators, Raikkonen and Giovinazzi all shared a laugh before they went their separate ways.

The Duo hopes to secure some points at the US Grand Prix

Last race weekend in Istanbul, Antonio and Kimi missed out on points finish as they finished 11th and 12th respectively. As it stands, the Swiss-based team have just seven points under their belt so far this season, and aim to seize the most from the upcoming races.

Now with the upcoming race in Austin at the Circuit of the Americas, both Kimi and Giovinazzi hope that they can secure a better finish than they had at the Turkish Grand Prix.
