Kimi Raikkonen is considered to be one of the sassiest, coldest drivers in F1. So, when Kimi smiles, the most likely reason is that he just roasted someone. However, that wasn’t the case during an interaction the Finn had with a fan recently.

The race in question was the Brazilian GP back in 2007. Raikkonen came third in the race, but that was enough to make him champion beating a rookie Lewis Hamilton by a single point.

Raikkonen responded, “No no thanks I hope I could take all the credit from the doctors that did the job but, if the racing helps that’s a great thing.”

The fan also mentioned that he was having a heart attack when they were racing in Brazil, to which Kimi replied, “Ah so maybe I wasn’t that good.”

The Iceman loses on points at Imola due to a time penalty

At the recently concluded Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Kimi failed to follow the regulations after the red flag caused by the Russell-Bottas crash. He didn’t enter the pitlane for the restart and thus got a 10-second time penalty.

He finished the race in 13th place after receiving the penalty, which meant that he failed to secure any points. His teammate, Giovinazzi came home in 14th place, so Alfa Romeo couldn’t score any points in Imola.

The team now look forward to the Portuguese Grand Prix, which is scheduled at the end of this month. Kimi hopes to learn from his mistakes and redeem himself in the third race of the Formula One season.
