Kimi Raikkonen shares heartwarming moment with his family on his 42nd birthday

Several F1 fans often consider Raikkonen to be one of the most unique personalities in the F1 paddock. Over the years, the Finn rarely showed emotion, be it in a press conference or his reactions after completing a successful race.

In fact, his minimal use of words makes him quite a funny person in interviews, which fans admit they would miss once he retires. While it’s rare to see Raikkonen smile, the same cannot be said when he spends time with his family.

In 2016, the Finn married Minttu in a ceremony held in Siena, Italy. The couple have a six-year-old son named Robin and a four-year-old daughter named Rianna. During the video shared by Minttu on Instagram, Kimi spoke a few words with Rianna before blowing out the candle on his cake. Minttu also wrote, “Happy birthday! We love you!”

Can Raikkonen end the season on a high?

The Finn missed the Dutch Grand Prix and the Italian Grand Prix since he tested positive for COVID-19. Despite that, the 2007 world champion has six points from the 13 races he took part in this year.

Considering the struggles Alfa Romeo faced throughout this season, Raikkonen’s points haul is a highlight of the Italian outfit’s season. He finished an impressive P8 amidst tough conditions in Sochi, which is his best result in 2021 so far.

With six races to go, the newly turned 42-year-old will bank on his experience to end the season with more points. Whether or not he can start with a good result in Austin this weekend, the venue where he won his last F1 race, only time will tell.
