Kimi Raikkonen retired from Formula One after nearly 20 years in the sport. The former world champion drove his last race in Abu Dhabi; unfortunately, he could not finish the race due to brake failure. His retirement was a sad occasion for millions of fans around the world.

Raikkonen mentioned he was looking forward to spending time with his family.

Kimi’s wife, Minttu Raikkonen, recently shared a picture of the Finn relaxing during the holidays. In the picture, we can see Kimi holding a water gun, showing that he really is enjoying his retirement and does not want to be disturbed.

“Some took the necessary precautions to avoid being disturbed in their retirement,” said Minttu.

As reported by Formula1.com, Raikkonen was not fussed about leaving the sport. He mentioned he is not a big fan of send-offs and similar gestures. He also said that he will miss the people he met in the sport.

“I feel good like I said. I’m looking forward, let us say, to normal life that I know outside of F1 anyhow. Yes, a lot of good wishes and this and that,” said Kimi.
