Over the past year, Lando Norris has grown fond of golf and often spent his time on the course during the mid-2021 F1 season. One such instance was his former teammate, Carlos Sainz’s birthday, which the duo spent playing golf together; this happened only a day prior to the start of the race weekend at Zandvoort, Netherlands.

Now, a couple of months later, Norris seems to have found a new golf partner in former Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh. The McLaren driver revealed the same through his Instagram story, where he posted a picture of the back of his golf kart, which had the names Norris and Singh printed on a sheet.

He further added a text to the post, “Team of the year.”

To the people unaware of who Yuvraj Singh is, the 40-year-old formerly represented India in Cricket and was even a part of the squad that won the 2011 world cup. Following a commendable stint, Yuvraj briefly had to give up playing, as he was diagnosed with cancer. Yet, he managed to return to the pitch only a year later.

Lando Norris’ ever-growing love for Golfing

This doesn’t come as a surprise to many, considering the fact that Norris has arguably spent more time on the course than any other F1 driver on the current grid.

Back in 2020, Norris even reckoned that Golf was the most physical sport he has had to play in his life. Interestingly, he competes in Formula 1, driving around in a car that produces as many G-Forces as a fighter jet flying in the air.
