WATCH: Lando Norris Hypes Daniel Ricciardo as McLaren Duo Prepare for 2022 F1 Season

McLaren driver Lando Norris has been supporting his teammate lately. The Briton is seen hyping up his co-driver as Daniel Ricciardo took his car to test. McLaren is having a test driver at Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.

The British team has unveiled their new Challenger for the 2022 season. Named MCL36 is already a fan favorite. The driver duo of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo took to the track, testing their driver.

Daniel Ricciardo was the first one to hit the track with his McLaren as Lando Norris was watching by. The 22-year-old Bristol-born was not only watching his teammate’s drive but also hyping him up. Norris took to his Instagram account to showcase his mate’s hitting the track.

In a series of stories put from Lando Norris’s official Instagram account, it read “Daniel about to light up the track.”

“P1 for Daniel, Absolutely incredible. What a start to the season.” “Going for back-to-back poles here. Still the only driver here today though.”

From the fans’ point of view, the captions are quite sarcastic. Norris is simply getting goofy with Daniel by calling him P1 despite him being the only driver there.

New season, the new target for Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo?

McLaren has lost their P3 to Ferrari last year by quite a margin. Ferrari claimed 323.5 points while the Woking-based team has just managed to pick 275 points. They fought with the Italian team for most of the season, failing to win it at the end.

Talking about the drivers, Lando Norris has been brilliant the whole season and was the better between the two. Norris picked up 160 points from 275 and finished at P6 in the driver’s standings. Daniel, on the other hand, had a dismal first season. The Australian struggling to find pace and grip in McLaren is nothing new as he picked up 115 points last season.

With the new season to dawn soon, McLaren fans expect a better performance from the British team this season. It’ll be interesting to see if they can beat Ferrari and have a go at Red Bull or Mercedes this time around.
