Max Verstappen enjoys a lot of support in his home country, the Netherlands. The Dutch fans worship him as a national hero and come out in numbers during the race weekend to support the driver. The ‘orange army’, as his fans are referred to, also has a song dedicated to him called ‘Super Max’.

It seems like Lando Norris has also become a huge fan of that song.

While ending his Twitch stream, the McLaren driver grooved to the ‘Super Max’ song.

Lando Norris points out two things that made Max Verstappen world champion

As reported by Express.co.uk, Lando and Max are good friends off the track and enjoy each other’s company. Norris mentioned a few points that tipped the title in Verstappen’s favor over Hamilton in 2021.

“I don’t think he had a better car throughout the season. Mercedes had the stronger car in most cases, but he (Verstappen) had less bad luck and made fewer mistakes as a driver,” said Norris.

Norris also mentioned that he congratulated his mate after he won the world championship.

“I’m happy for him. I congratulate him on what he has done this season. He’s taken on Lewis, who is much more experienced and has won many titles. He’s (Verstappen) a good friend of mine.

I congratulated him first, but then I also went to Lewis because he also had an incredible season and did a lot of things right to become champion. I respect both of them a lot,” said Norris.

It is refreshing to see that despite intense battles on the track, F1 drivers can be civil with each other off-track. We hope to see more endearing moments of their friendship in the future. What are your predictions for the 2022 F1 season?
