Lewis Hamilton’s right-hand woman, Angela Cullen, celebrated the last three years of Hamilton dominance in Hungary. Looking to win his fourth race at the circuit, Cullen commemorated Quali-day by sharing an old picture of the two on her Instagram.

She exclaimed, “4 years ago and still just as excited about quali day. Let’s go!”

The reigning champion has returned to Hungary after a controversial victory at Silverstone. As Hamilton credits Cullen for his success, she definitely hopes to see Hamilton win a record ninth race in Hungary.

The power duo has been at the top of their game then, and they’ve only gotten better. The passion, the drive that the two share to achieve greatness, is still alive in the Mercedes garage.

Another win for Lewis Hamilton?

The heat in Hungary looks like it’s out to get everyone. The blazing conditions have made it a little harder to drive on the track. However, Mercedes seemed to be doing comparatively okay. Post-race analytics show the Silver Arrows seem to have vantage over their rivals in certain turns. The Mercedes performs better in slow and high-speed corners, while the Red Bull is only quicker in medium-speed turns.

Hamilton topped the timesheets in FP2 and FP3, ahead of his championship contender. However, while the Brit is fast, Verstappen isn’t far behind. The practice sessions give a good insight into what qualifying will be. But, at the end of FP3, Max Verstappen picked up the pace and inched close to Hamilton.

Hamilton shares some wonderful memories with the circuit – having his first win with the Silver car in Budapest eight years ago. Looking ahead, Hamilton might win a record-setting 9th.

It’s no doubt that after Silverstone, both drivers are out to increase their points – Max to further his lead, and Lewis to go into summer break leading the championship. It’s nothing but a waiting game as we head into the qualifying session soon; one which will set the grid for what will surely be an interesting Sunday.
