Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo spent 3 years at Red Bull as teammates. The duo had one of those fan-favorite bromances in F1. Although, since then, Daniel has gone on to switch teams and now drives for McLaren, their friendship still remains strong.

The two have given F1 fans one of the most memorable moments. Even now, after the French GP, the pair were spotted waving to each other while driving side by side.

The fans also loved this as they shared their reactions to the moment between the 2 drivers.

One fan commented about the fact that Max indeed flipped off Daniel Ricciardo’s teammate, Lando Norris.

However, even though Max and Daniel are great friends and can be often spotted laughing and joking, the two are also fiercely competitive.

Ricciardo even named Max his biggest rivals all throughout his Red Bull stint.

Max Verstappen, the toughest rival of Daniel Ricciardo’s career

Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo were one of the best pairings in F1 during their time together at Red Bull. However, towards the end of the 3-year stint, cracks started appearing in their friendship with the on-track drama getting to them.

Yet the two maintain a very respectful opinion of each other and have seen their friendship mend itself. Despite that, Ricciardo has named Verstappen as the toughest rival of his career. The Aussie said, “As a rivalry, he is probably been my biggest rival in the years. That doesn’t mean I don’t like him.”

Speaking about their relationship, he said, “That doesn’t mean I don’t like him.” He went on to add, “We definitely had respect for each other, but I would say today we get on better than we did back then.”

However, the two are no longer on a level playing ground with Verstappen fighting for wins with Red Bull while Ricciardo is stuck in the midfield with McLaren. Ricciardo will be hoping to fight Verstappen on a level footing once again sometime.
