The Red Bull was once ranked World No.21 in the Video game rankings. But during the 2021 Sao Paulo Grand Prix weekend, he got the opportunity to challenge the best FIFA player in the world. Before the match, Verstappen revealed that he was very nervous.

” I’m about to play a FIFA game against one of the best FIFA players out there. So, I’m feeling very confident, not nervous now because I like to play it, but probably he’s gonna completely destroy me,” said Max before the game. Although his opponent did not destroy him, he lost a close game 2-1.

But his FIFA skills are not a surprise as Red Bull team principal Christian Horner had mentioned that Verstappen had prepared for the US GP by playing FIFA for 14 hours.

“There’s probably quite a lot you don’t know about, Max. He’s probably done about 14 hours of FIFA football this weekend while he’s been here,” said Horner.

Can Max Verstappen challenge Charles Leclerc tomorrow?

The Red Bull driver finished the Australian GP qualifying in P2 with just over two-tenths behind Charles Leclerc. But the world champion mentioned he was never really happy and comfortable with his car at the Albert Park track.

But Max will be happy that he will have his teammate alongside him for the race to aid him in his quest to win tomorrow’s race. But he would like to get a good launch from the start and take the lead at the first turn.
