Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez almost delivered both championships to Red Bull this season. While Max won the driver’s title, Checo, in his first season with the team, finished in P4. One highlight of the year was the US Grand Prix in Austin, where Max won, and Perez came in P3.
But the results mask the struggles that Perez faced in that race. The Mexican driver was down with a stomach bug and could not drink water through the race in the most difficult conditions of the year. So Verstappen gifted a very thoughtful gist to his teammate as a Christmas present.

In their new video for the official Red Bull Channel, Max gifted a big bottle to Checo so that he never runs out of water in a race.

” Dear Checo, Merry Christmas to you. For Christmas, I want to give you something that you can use to make your racing days more enjoyable. I know how thirsty you can get out there, so hopefully, this present helps. “ said Perez while reading Verstappen’s letter.

” Thank you, from Austin right,” said Perez, thanking Max for his gift. ” I mean, you got very thirsty, so I had a little present for you,” said Max while presenting the gift.

But when Perez opened the gift to see a big bottle, he had different plans for the gift. ” I can put a lot of tequila in here for the holidays.” joked Sergio.
“ You put it next to you in the seat so you never run out of water. Do you think it’s enough?” said Max.
” Yeah. I won’t get thirsty anymore. Thank you, mate.” concluded Sergio.

Well, it is a very thoughtful gift from Max. Perez had described the US Grand Prix in 2021 as the most difficult race of his life. If he uses this bottle next time in the race, he will surely never run out of water.
