WATCH: Max Verstappen Smashes Cake All Over Former Red Bull Driver Coulthard’s Face

Max Verstappen was in a good mood today after snatching pole for Red Bull in Bahrain. He not only stole the show on track with his blistering lap but also off it by tickling our funny bones with a hilarious birthday ritual.
Every one of us loves a nice cake smash on occasion. Thankfully for Max, he was not on the receiving end of it. Instead, it was former Red Bull driver David Coulthard, celebrating his 50th birthday today.
Max first proceeded to wish DC as he was interviewing him after he got out of the car. When the interviews were all wrapped up, Max went into the garage and came out with a tasty-looking chocolate cake.

Pretending to present it to DC, he made a sly move and smashed it all over his face as the presenter looked the other way.

Utter comedy from Max. Coulthard then proceeded to run after Max, who pinned the blame on his team for forcing him to cake DC.
What Max Verstappen had to say after snatching pole in Bahrain?
Max Verstappen’s qualifying in Bahrain did not begin on the easiest of notes. He damaged the floor of his car in the first qualifying session. He wasn’t really threatening Mercedes in the first couple of sessions.
However, he rose to the occasion when it mattered the most. Shrugging off the floor damage to his RB16B, he qualified three-tenths of a second above Lewis Hamilton. After the qualifying and before caking David Coulthard, he had this to say to the presenter –

“My fist lap in Q3 wasn’t amazing. Luckily, where it mattered we could perform. I am just looking forward to it. We have a good car so I want a clean start and first lap,” said Max Verstappen.
