Mick Schumacher endured a rather unpleasant race at the British Grand Prix, being the last driver on the track to see the checkered flag. Nevertheless, that did not stop the German from winning the hearts of a few fans on the stands, who were eagerly waiting to receive his wave.
After the race ended on Sunday, Mick was settling himself down with the cooldown lap around Silverstone, when his radio popped up. It was his race engineer, Gary Gannon, with a special request for the seven-time world champion’s son.
And of course, considering the duo’s relationship over this season, Mick was never going to turn down his race engineer’s wish.

What was Gary’s wish following the F1 race at Silverstone?
The race engineer showed up on the team radio when Mick was strolling through turn 9, the corner that earlier that day set off a massive controversy.
“My family’s somewhere there at 10-11-12. You can give them a wave,” the race engineer told the Haas F1 driver. Mick spontaneously popped his hand out and started giving the wave to the fans. He further responded to Gary saying, “I’m on it!”
