Sebastian Vettel did not make it to Q3 of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The German will start the race in P15, after failing to improve on his first run in Q2. Vettel was a part of the bunch of cars that were slowing down before starting the race.

Fernando Alonso, Pierre Gasly, and Daniel Ricciardo were also involved in the traffic. Although the others managed to improve, the Aston Martin driver could not. He was less than happy, as he was the last driver of the bunch and his tires had gone cold.

In his radio, his engineer was trying to guide him through the traffic. But it could not help him in setting a competitive lap at the end of the Q2 session. Vettel had some choice words to express his frustration.

It’s going to be a tough weekend for us: Sebastian Vettel

As reported by Planetf1, the Aston Martin driver was not overly positive about his chances in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The car has not been fast for quite some time now and Vettel has really struggled to get into the points off-late.

“Well, we’ll see. No miracles that we can expect, unfortunately, but we’ll see. It’s going to be a tough weekend for us.” said Vettel.

The four-time world champion also commented on the changes made to the circuit in Yas Marina.

“I think it’s good, I like it, I think it makes the track a lot faster, so it’s exciting. I think some of the strange corners have disappeared, and we have some new ones–especially the banked corner around Turn 9 is quite good fun,” said Sebastian.
