Toto Wolff celebrated his 50th birthday yesterday. The Mercedes team principal is one of the most popular figures in the F1 paddock and is considered to be one of the most influential people in the sport. To celebrate this day, his wife Susie Wolff took to social media to wish him well.

Susie took to Instagram to shower her love and praise for her Austrian husband.

She stated the Mercedes boss is not a fan of birthdays and prefers to avoid celebrating them. “Toto is not a fan of birthdays. Prefers to look forward and not back. Says the long game counts, and he is only halfway (that is maybe a bit optimistic now). But today marks a milestone. 49 + 1 years. Happy Birthday, Toto. Thank you for all that you are and all that you do,” said Susie in her post.

Susie and Toto have been married since 2011. They are a power couple in the world of motorsports as Susie is the head of the Mercedes Venturi Formula E team while Toto is the boss of the Mercedes F1 team.

The Brit mentioned that family life with Toto is not easy as they are away a lot because of their professional commitments.

“Of course, it’s not easy, but we have to make it. It is important to establish priorities. We both realize that marriage and family come first. But of course, we are proud of what Toto is doing. And if Jack and I have to get on a plane to see him, we’ll do it,” she said.

Toto too complimented his wife for maintaining a perfect balance in their lives. “Susie is the system maintainer of the Wolff family. We are very lucky because we are very similar in characters and tasks. Family comes first, then work. But this common field of interest, motorsport, is what we have always done. That’s why we talk about it at dinner. The mix of both makes it,” said Toto.
