Rightfully so, when Verstappen was about to cross Norris, the McLaren driver knowingly raised his foot in front of Verstappen in an attempt to trip him.
However, Verstappen was quite aware of Norris’ prank, as he managed to deviate the obstruction and walked away with a smile. The homeboy did give Norris a slap at the back, and the duo went on to mind their own businesses.

Lando Norris not focusing on P3
Norris has enjoyed a stellar season so far, having competed alongside the Mercedes and Red Bull drivers on certain occasions. And the result? Well, the Briton is now in P3, ahead of both Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas.
Hence, amidst huge hopes of a long-overdue P3 finish for McLaren, Norris denied P3 in the championship being his focus at the moment. Norris opined that it is almost impractical to compare himself with drivers racing for Mercedes and Red Bull.

“I’d just love to be in the same position at the end of the season. But, yeah, I don’t think that’s my focus. I’m not changing anything because I’m P3. You know, most races, I still know we’re not gonna be racing the Mercedes. We’re not gonna be racing the Red Bulls,” he said.

“But, at certain times this season, we have. I think the main thing is that we just made a lot less mistakes than what they have. It’s not like we’ve been a lot more competitive and just beaten them on the track all the time. It’s just that they made more silly mistakes.”

Overall, as F1 heads into Spa, Norris yet again stands tall as the favorite to claim the ‘best of the rest’ tag. Who knows, maybe, he could even be looking to churn out a stronger finish, possibly a podium out of the weekend. But, what does the reality have to offer the Briton?
