Charles Leclerc and Zhou Guanyu once danced to the beats of Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)! An old video of the two did the rounds after Zhou recently celebrated his 23rd birthday. The birthday boy is fresh off his drive from the Monaco GP where he crossed the line in P16, while Leclerc finished on a disappointing P4.

This particular video of the Alfa Romeo and Ferrari driver was simply unexpected and may have amused fans.

Charles Leclerc and Zhou Guanyu groove to “Now Watch Me Whip” in an old video

In this video, fans see Leclerc dancing and ‘dabbing’ in his brown hoodie. Meanwhile, Zhou tried to find his own rhythm to “Now Watch Me Whip”. The two drivers even attempted to coordinate at one point. After watching the clip, it may not be wrong to say that they’re not the best dancers.

F1 audiences may also recognize Ferrari development driver Antonio Fuoco and Enzo Fittipaldi in the video.

Understandably, these old videos are resurfacing from the Ferrari Driver program meet-ups. Notably, Leclerc, Zhou, Fittipaldi, and Fuoco are all Ferrari Driver academy products, with Zhou currently driving for Alfa Romeo and Leclerc maneuvering a Ferrari.

This is Chinese driver Zhou’s rookie season, while Leclerc has finally evolved into a championship contender with the Maranello camp.

However, things have not been going well for Ferrari for quite some time now. Disappointing the Tifosi, Spain saw a Leclerc DNF where an MGU-H and Turbo failure caused his early retirement from what looked like an easy win. And most recently, a panicky pit wall’s confusion led to the team again throwing away his hard-earned Monaco lead.

Leclerc now sits 9 points behind direct championship rival Max Verstappen. Despite incredible race weekend performances and an unmatched qualifying pace, bad luck has been slamming its doors on a Charles Leclerc Grand Prix win. Though the Monegasque has already won 2 races this season, few would argue that he deserved more wins.

On the other hand, the Ferrari-powered Alfa Romeo is thriving with Valtteri Bottas. While Zhou has remained arguably decent for a rookie, Bottas has clearly led the team.
