Mention the name Daniel Ricciardo to a Formula One fan and they most certainly would burst into laughter, thanks to his hilarious off-track encounters and goofy personality. The cameras have often caught him committing to rather absurd yet amusing doings before and after most of the race weekends.

Similarly, here’s one from his Red Bull days! Ricciardo likes riding tiny vehicles, a fact which obviously isn’t something any fan would generally hear in F1. But, yet again, here’s Ricciardo breaking the odds to prove that he indeed is one of the unique drivers the sport will ever witness.

Sky Sports released a giggle-worthy video on social media starring the one and only Ricciardo. The Australian can be seen riding an extremely small pedal car and of course, quite unsurprisingly, in a very uncomfortable position considering his height.

The Honey Badger could have pedaled away with ease if we wanted to, but, rather opted to add some spice by trying to chip in a wheelie.

Daniel Ricciardo and his love for wheelies

Ricciardo tried to lift the pedal car to pull off a wheelie. However, he misjudged the weight of the car and ended up lifting it a bit too much only to fall on his back with the front of the car pointing to the sky. Ricciardo didn’t give up just yet as he persistently tried to get himself and his car back on the track, but in vain.

Hence, one might wonder, was this necessarily the first time Ricciardo tried to orchestrate a wheelie on a kid’s vehicle? No!

Back in 2015, he tried to do the same during an interview. Only this time, it wasn’t a pedal car, rather a motorized kid’s car. Ricciardo was all set to do a wheelie as he waved his right arm in the air for balance and his left arm on the wheel.

But, again, a bit too ambitious we’d say! The kid’s car won the battle again, as it left Ricciardo lying on the floor facing the sky. Unfortunately, the McLaren driver has managed to reduce his off-track absurdity in recent times. So, will he ever bring about such laughable moments in the coming years?
