Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc recently talked about his changing equation with Max Verstappen over the years. The two are amongst the best drivers on the grid. No doubt, Verstappen has outperformed every other driver on the grid this year on most occasions. However, Leclerc is also expected to be a frontrunner for the title in the upcoming seasons.
The two drivers have been racing each other since their karting days. They have been fierce competitors and their personal equation wasn’t a good one for a long time. However, the Monegasque believes that it has evolved into a more healthy competition over time.

Charles Leclerc has a good relationship with Verstappen
Leclerc has been very vocal about the fact that there was bad blood between the two. The two staunch rivals on the track reciprocated it off it as well. However, the fact that their karting days are long gone and they are competing at the highest level has changed the equation for good.
Charles asked about Max: "We've grown up since then. It's true that we couldn't stand each other when we were young. But it has changed now. Well, changed, we say hello to each other now, we have a good relationship." https://t.co/XOw5BV2iJY

“We’ve grown up since then. It’s true that we couldn’t stand each other when we were young. But it has changed now. Well, changed, we say hello to each other now, we have a good relationship,” said the Ferrari driver.
The Monegasque says that he would like to fight him on the track as real passionate drivers do. “And he is just a very fast driver, very aggressive, as we’ve been able to see during the whole season this year. Always driving to the limit. But that’s also what I like when I fight against him on track…” he added.
Leclerc believes Hamilton has the edge
Max Verstappen is leading the championship fight with an 8-point lead over Hamilton. However, the Briton put on clinical performances in the last two races and looks good for the last two races. The Red Team driver has changed his mind on the prediction and now he tips Hamilton to edge Verstappen for the title.
“I was pretty sure Max will get it until Sao Paulo. Then after Brazil, I changed a bit my mind. And now I think probably Lewis is on a good run,” said Leclerc as reported by Motorsportweek.

“But it’s true Max has the points advantage which is what matters. So it’s going to be tight but, if anything, maybe Lewis,” he added.
