Despite that, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc debunk the myth that driving for one of the most successful teams in Formula 1 is extremely stressful.

In a YouTube video, the Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz answers hilarious fan’s assumptions. The Monégasque driver read out the question for Sainz: “It’s extremely stressful and the expectations are high [to drive for Ferrari] is that true?”

To which the Spaniard replied: “Expectations are high, that is true. Is it extremely stressful? I don’t think it is at least I didn’t feel more stressed this year than in other years of my career. It’s like you get used to the pressure, you get used to the expectations.”

“Yeah, we feel the responsibility of driving for this amazing team, but it’s not like it doesn’t let us sleep or anything like that. We sleep very well,” added Carlos Sainz.

Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz was understandably perplexed by the slow pace of his Ferrari at the Dutch Grand Prix, despite securing 1-2 in the Free Practice 2 session.

“I am very puzzled at the moment because I had no pace at all during the race since Lap 1. Really, I was struggling a lot with the front and tyres,” said Carlos Sainz after the race.

“I was degrading the tyres, it felt like I was sliding a lot and I couldn’t match the pace I had on Friday. This means we need to look into what went wrong because I have never felt so slow in a race, to be honest. I was struggling a lot and had no pace whatsoever.”
