The Red Bull driver looked the quickest driver on the wet track at Silverstone on Saturday. But he did have one hair-raising moment approaching the Vale chicane in Q3. Verstappen was comfortably fastest on the track but spun at the Stowe corner but held on to the car beautifully to do a 360 spin.

F1 fans on Twitter and on the track too were impressed by the car control shown by the world champion. They took to social media to share their reactions to the moment and compliment Verstappen on his skills.

“But still, to be on the front row is very good for us and we have a good race car in the dry and the wet. Success tomorrow is not just about the first lap but the whole race, tire management, and things like that,” said Max after qualifying to Channel 4.

Verstappen definitely looked like the faster driver throughout the weekend. So let’s see if he can challenge Sainz tomorrow in the race.
