Who Is Kaytranada? Grammy Winning $1.5 Million-Earning Artist Opening in F1 Miami GP 2024

Returning to Miami for the Grand Prix, we can expect an American-style race that leaves no stone unturned in putting on a show. Last year, the opening ceremony for F1 Crypto.com The Miami Grand Prix was conducted by LL Cool J and Will.I.Am. The Black Eye Peas frontman conducted the orchestra, playing the F1 theme track as Cool J introduced the drivers. With an opening like that, the USA Grand Prix is one of the most entertaining.

This year is no different, and in 2024, fans will get the opening act they deserve. This time the artist is a multitalented Haitian-Canadian rapper who will be the podium artist, along with many other exciting performances that the celebratory Miami Grand Prix brings in.

Kaytranada: The Opening Act for the Miami Grand Prix

Louis Kevin Celestin Aka Kaytranada will bless the stage with his electronic and rap music for the opening act. Kaytranada will be headlining the podium performance, following the trophy presentation on Sunday. The two-time Grammy Award-winning DJ dropped his debut studio album 99.9% in 2016, and ever since then, he has been at the forefront of the genre. His second album, Bubba, brought home two Grammy Awards, including Best Dance/Electronic Album.

He started his career back in 2010 under the name Kaytradamus, which was eventually changed to Kaytranada in 2012. He was signed by HW&W Recordings, which has roots in Los Angeles and Toronto. So far, he has released 13 projects and 41 remixes while touring over 50 cities in Canada, America, Europe, and Australia. It was not until 2021 that the Grammys noticed him, and his last known project was with Aminé, who released “4eva,” featuring Pharrell Williams.

Being such a successful musician comes with its financial benefits, and that’s easy to see considering he got paid $1.5 million in touring back in 2016 with over $215,000 in royalties under XL Recording. Ever since then, he has only grown as an artist. When it comes to performing, Kaytranada played at the 22nd Coachella Valley Music Festival last April, and now it’s time to make his debut performing for F1.

About being able to perform at the Miami Grand Prix, the artist said, “There’s nothing more exciting than Formula 1, and the Miami race has combined the party and the sport into an incredible experience. The city’s energy is unmatched and I’m excited to be a part of that atmosphere. I can’t wait to keep the celebration going as we close out race weekend.” Alongside him, fans will be graced by 6 other artists who will take the stage after the Grand Prix commences.

Along with Kaytranada, other well-known artists like Marc Anthony, Steve Aoki, Don Omar, Kaskade, Ed Sheeran, and John Summit will also be performing after the Grand Prix. Bringing in a vast lineup ensures that there is something for everyone to enjoy. When the circus is set up in Miami, it’s always been a great time to have Kaytranada. As Epp said, “Kaytranada is the kind of artist who connects with generations of fans with both his music and his vibrant personality.
