The Ferrari F1-75 is flying in this current Formula 1 season. They would literally too, if it wasn’t for the downforce, such is the pace in the car. Both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are making the most of it. Charles has outperformed his teammate so far. And Sainz’s horrific Australian Grand Prix did not help his case or the team.

Ferrari might be miles away from the competition at the moment. But that is no excuse to be complacent. We all know the competition from Mercedes and Red Bull is stiff and can sneak up on them anytime during the season.

Let’s talk about Mercedes as well. With an exceptionally underwhelming car, the Mercedes duo has done a decent job so far. The Mercedes has a major porpoising issue, which they can’t seem to solve. In the opening three races of the current season, only Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has picked a fight and won against the Scuderia. However, Red Bull’s persistent reliability issues with the car have cost them important points. Max has retired his car on two separate occasions out of the three races. His teammate, Sergio Perez, has already done the same once. Red Bull will find a solution to this problem soon. But only time will tell if they will rectify it before it’s too late in the season.

Giving hope to the faithful

“Ferrari had already taken a big step forward in terms of the power unit last year, now they have made another one and have created a very reliable car, equipped with a great chassis. She is finally back to fight for the title, sooner than I expected.” Berger’s words here perfectly sum up the feelings of the Tifosi.
