The Bahrain Grand Prix had many unpleasant surprises in store for the fans. Starting from the huge inferno that rooted from Grosjean’s crash to Stroll turning over again at the restart, this race weekend was quite eventful. Grosjean’s crash was so severe that Mercedes had thought of opting out of the race.

The F1 circus is a band of 20 mad drivers that travel around the world the entire year racing at super speeds of 200 to 250 KMPH. Agreed that as they race, their adrenaline flows within us fans as well. However, at no instance can we forget the value of their lives.

The fireball from Grosjean’s car was enough to leave anyone speechless. Though the Frenchman survived with minor burns, he will have a hard time battling the mental trauma and nightmares. In the view of those ghastly flames, Toto Wolff from Mercedes had thoughts about withdrawing from the race.

“I think, if God beware, he had been injured more than that, we would have probably pulled out of the race in this day and age. A man’s health and life is much more important than racing,” remarked the Mercedes Boss.

Grosjean survived from the deathly inferno with minor burns and bruises. However, no one had expected him to climb out of his car after the VF-20 broke apart from the impact. It shall be termed as a ‘miracle in Bahrain’ after the huge flames from the car shocked us all.

Mercedes Boss supports FIA streaming Romain’s crash

Mercedes had started off well with Lewis Hamilton speeding past the rest. Although Bottas had lost six places by the end of the first lap, Silver Arrows knew he could pull up. No one had expected such a massacre in the very first lap of the race.

“If FOM is not showing it, then someone else is going to have a mobile phone there and film so we need to be transparent.
