“125 Years From..”: Ferrari Keeps its Anniversary Tradition With a Special Homage to its Visionary Founder

We have all heard the famous quote “Ask a child to draw a car, and certainly, he will draw it red” by Enzo Ferrari. This quote captures the essence of Ferrari and the incredible legacy the Italian racer built. However, before every kid started associating the red car with Ferrari, there was one child with a dream. It was the consequence of this dream that made Scuderia Ferrari, a team most have come to know and love. Not just a Formula 1 team, but an organization that is much bigger all thanks to this kid.
This kid is obviously Enzo Ferrari, who gave birth to this legendary racing team. The Italian journey to build this empire started with a small desire, a desire to race. We get to know this desire in his own words from a video posted by Ferrari on their Instagram page celebrating their 125th anniversary.

The video showcases how, “Our founder made Ferrari a symbol of tradition, excellence, and innovation.” However, before the video dives into the history starting from 1919, there is a quote from the visionary founder.
He says, “I saw a photographer and said to myself: Why couldn’t I be a driver too one day? And everything was a consequence of this childhood dream.”

The legacy of Enzo Ferrari will live through eternity. The fans get a small glimpse of the legacy with a museum-esque small house at the Fiorano Circuit. The small house was Enzo Ferrari’s office. According to Felipe Massa, the fans always get overwhelmed in that small house.
“It is the house where Enzo Ferrari had his office there. When you are entering, you see the office and they left the office like it was,” he explains. “I see many people, in all my time with Ferrari, entering that house and couldn’t stop crying.”
