The 2022 season has been exciting, no doubt. But throughout the course of the season, only 3 teams have challenged for pole and only 2 have traded victories. That being said, if it had to be anyone who’d break that trend, it had to be Kevin Magnussen.

Can you believe it? K-Mag on pole for Haas! Even Magnussen himself couldn’t come to terms with the fact once his team informed him on the radio. It was a fantastic achievement for the Dane as well as the American team. But there was one man who outdid everyone on social media while congratulating the Danish driver.

Esteban Ocon took to Twitter to congratulate Magnussen. But his post on social media wasn’t a generic wish. He delved deep into the annals of Drive to Survive meme-worthy moments and dug out the perfect congratulatory message.

He said, P6 for tomorrow’s sprint race! nice one team! And also big congrats to @HaasF1Team @KevinMagnussen, you looked like a bunch f***** legends today!”

Kevin Magnussen put his Haas on pole yesterday. So arguably, the car had the pace for Q3. That being said, his teammate Mick Schumacher finished qualifying dead last. Instead of celebrating a maiden pole, the American team now needs to figure out what they will do to salvage Schumacher’s sprint.

While talking about Schumacher’s performance in Qualifying, Haas team boss Guenther Steiner wasn’t particularly pleased. As per The Race, he said, “I don’t think he got the right feeling, didn’t know how to pace himself, it was just too slow.”
