Formula 1’s star in America is on the rise. Currently, F1 has three races lined up in the United States of America, an American team, another potential 2024 American entry, and an American driver in the shape of Williams’ Logan Sargeant. Sargeant’s move up into the big leagues is a reflection of his grit and character as a racing driver. In an interview before the Williams team lapped him up, he showcased exactly the cutthroat determination one requires to excel in this brutal sport.
Reflecting on the 2021 Azerbaijan GP’s F2 race, he recalled him passing Jüri Vips’ stricken car to claim P2 in the race. He said, “Sometimes you smile inside the helmet when you pass a car that has dropped out ahead of you, but that definitely wasn’t one of those occasions because I was trying to not hit him myself. I feel for Jüri, but at the end of the day, a position is a position and you’ll take it.”

GPFans quoted ex-Williams boss Jost Capito as saying, “Yes, he appreciates Logan a lot and he has really welcomed Logan into the team. Alex is a guy who will give him all the support. He will not hold back. That again is a great fit and why we can take a rookie like Logan because we have a team leader who is willing to share his expertise.”
