Max Verstappen is all business on race days. The Red Bull driver is as focused and is known for his no-nonsense approach. Despite that, the 25-year-old wasn’t shy of displaying his childish side in one of Red Bull’s promotional videos shot with teammate Checo Perez.
The team dared the Dutch Lion to call Red Bull boss Christian Horner as a prank and quack like a duck. As Verstappen was about to call his boss, Perez jokingly said, “You’re gonna get fired.” To this, Max was left pondering, “Why do I always have to do these things?”
The Dutchman even double-checked to see if the team was serious about the dare or not. Unfortunately for him, they were, and he had to call the Red Bull boss and quack on the call. Christian Horner took it sportingly and joked that the entire Red Bull Marketing team was fired.
Red Bull fans will hope that the pair can return to the same friendly dynamic next season as seen in the video. Moreover, they’ll need the duo if they plan on defending their constructor’s title.
Max Verstappen reveals his relationship with teammate Sergio Perez is “great”
Max Verstappen defied team orders and didn’t allow Sergio Perez to pass in the Brazilian GP. This created a lot of drama and gave rise to rumors that Checo was left heartbroken. However, the 2-time world champion has cleared the air regarding the same.

Verstappen told Sky Sports, “We move on. Honestly, I have a great relationship with Checo. But I just don’t understand when people don’t have the full picture, to immediately start attacking me like that.”

He further continued, “I’m just a bit fed up with all this bull**** just going around all the time. At the end of the day, I haven’t done anything wrong, people just misunderstood what was going on.”
Checo ultimately finished P3 in the WDC after Charles Leclerc took home P2. Perez will now look to come back stronger next season and start afresh.
