MSP signed a deal with McLaren in late 2020 and provided a cash injection of around €200 million which seemed to have wiped away even the minimal chances of Audi taking over the functioning of McLaren in F1. He further acknowledged the team’s optimism for the future amidst the nearing regulatory changes.
“We are financially in great shape,” he said. “Our sales are growing rapidly. I think we have more commercial partners than any other Formula 1 Team announced. MSP has given us the financial resources we need to be profitable.”
