Lando Norris breaks his curse of podium finishes without a victory at the Miami Grand Prix, and McLaren has to celebrate. The Brit gave an amazing performance and he will surely remember this day forever. Along with Norris, team boss Zak Brown will also never forget the day his star driver won a race(his happiness was evitable in his celebrations with Lando post-race).

This day is significant not only due to Lando Norris winning the race but also because now Brown will have to repeat something he did to reward Daniel Ricciardo when he won the 2021 Monza Grand Prix. While the McLaren boss is pleased because he won the race, his body might not be due to the pain it will endure soon.

Back in 2021, Daniel Ricciardo challenged Zak Brown, saying that the McLaren boss would have to get a tattoo if the Australian won a race. Surely enough, Daniel Ricciardo delivered as promised, leading to an iconic moment as being captured on the Netflix docuseries Drive to Survive.

This time at Miami, during the post-race interview, Zak Brown was asked by Will Buxton if he would be getting a tattoo to celebrate Lando Norris’ win, and to this, he responded positively. According to the Telegraph report, Brown said, “He is getting better and better and remains calm in the car. No mistakes, always stronger. Now he is a Grand Prix winner and that gives him the inner confidence that more is possible.” He was then asked about the deal to get a tattoo, to which Brown replied, “Yeah I don’t mind Miami. It’s kind of my home country, so why not?

The team boss has decided to celebrate their first win of the season by getting Miami(imprinted) on him to continue the trend of getting circuit outlines as permanent trophies on his body. Now that McLaren won in Florida, Brown spoke about the Miami tattoo, saying, “Monza was not that painful, but Miami has a few more curves.” Considering that the track comes with 19 turns, it sure will be a tattoo that will sting a bit.

A trip down to Daniel Ricciardo’s 2021 Monza victory

The setting is 2021, and the track is the Temple of Speed. McLaren was going through a difficult season that year, and the two drivers were not getting along well. While everything seemed like it was going wrong for McLaren, Daniel Ricciardo surprised the world by finishing first in that race.

This led to the infamous story of Zak Brown’s first tattoo, and now that Lando Norris has won a race, Brown is highly considering a second one. The Team Boss was new to tattoos, but now, by the look of it, nothing would make him happier than getting his whole body tatted up, considering each tattoo is from a race win.

While that would change Brown’s look completely, the smile on his face would get wider. Although Daniel Ricciardo started the trend of Brown’s tattoos, Norris has continued it, with a chance for Oscar Piastri to do the same. Brown has left the newest driver on the team the challenge of scoring a win, so the boss has another reason to head to the tattoo studio.

While this is unusual, it’s an interesting way to celebrate race wins. Especially for a team that had no problem finishing on the podium, receiving P1 has been quite difficult. With this being the team’s third win in 12 years, it’s a monumental moment for the team. Now, imagine if Christian Horner were to make tattoos for every win Red Bull had or will have. Knowing Max Verstappen’s hunger and talent, Horner would be dumped in racetrack tattoos by now.
