The coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns all over the world, have taken its toll. Admittedly, quite a few F1 drivers have confessed to feeling bored while being confined at home. Even 6-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is going through a ‘mental rollercoaster’ due to F1’s forced hiatus.

Interestingly, the 35-year old has been second-guessing himself and his motivation to carry on racing. 2020 would have been Hamilton’s 14th consecutive year in the top tier of Grand Prix racing. Sadly, the COVID-19 pandemic has scuppered his chances of a seventh world title, equalling Michael Schumacher.

Like his colleagues, Lewis Hamilton is patiently waiting for F1’s green light to finally hop into his W11. However, the extended lockdown has lead to some introspection and the Mercedes star has even questioned his own motivation.
