Tom Brady and Lewis Hamilton have been close friends for a long time now. The two greats of their respective sports have often given shout-outs to one another while talking about their inspirations. On one such occasion, Hamilton decided to acknowledge Brady’s presence.

The F1 star has openly recognized Brady’s incredible flamboyancy on the field and stated that it’s a “privilege” to live in the Tom Brady era. In an old Instagram video, Hamilton reposted one of Brady’s videos and wrote, “Big shout out to the GOAT. What a privilege it is to live in the time when you are playing.”

“Defying all the odds. Proud of you brother. Inspired by you and your team #superbowl go Patriots! @tombrady #nfl” further stated the Mercedes star. This dates back to 2019 when Brady was playing for his former team, New England Patriots in the NFL.

This was the Mercedes ace commending the former Patriots star on his win over Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes at the AFC Championship.

Brady and Mahomes share one of the most intriguing rivalries in the NFL. As for the video reposted by Hamilton, it has Brady accompanied by another NFL star, Rob Gronkowski.

All in all, it is quite evident that Hamilton always regards the 45-year-old American as an inspiration.

Lewis Hamilton reveals Tom Brady as his inspiration

In a recently published report, the seven-time world champion revealed that in Brady he sees inspiration. Talking about this to The Racer, the Silver Arrows ace stated, “People like Tom [Brady]; I’ve been to the Super Bowl and seen him come from, like, his head in his hands as they’re losing, and then pulling it back with incredible mental strength.”

“Also, he’s an older athlete and he’s killing it right now – I’m like, ‘I want whatever you’re having!’. So there’s lots to learn from everybody,” conveyed the Mercedes ace talking about the NFL star.

Having a close friendship, the duo of Lewis Hamilton and Tom Brady has made sure they have each other’s backs. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers player visited the Mercedes ace during the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix.
